Sunday Stills: Your Favorite Place

"This will be fun as it can be anyplace you have been or in your local area. Wherever you feel at peace or just like to relax..:-)"

My favorite place...  Initially, I thought this was going to be hard.  Do I post pictures of Brittany, Normandy, the Tetons?  But then, the last line of the challenge made it easy... where do I feel at peace and like to relax.

Home, sweet little ranch.

Specifically, I like to relax on the viewing stand Brett built next to the arena.

There is  a barbecue, tables and chairs.

Facing north, I can sit with the cat and watch Brett ride in the arena.

But my very favorite thing to do is to sit here in evening, facing south west, after chores are done...

...with Brett, and a glass of wine...

...and watch the horses eat their dinner while the sun goes down.

For me, this is the most peaceful place on earth.

  1. I'm with ya! Horses, a beautiful view, and wine! What more could you want?

  2. You have a beautiful farm - good choice :)

  3. That is a very peaceful moment. The end of the day, watching the sunset, with your guy, the horses, and a glass of wine! I agree!

  4. Looks pretty peaceful to me too. It would be my favorite place too if I lived there.

  5. What a lovely view, very peaceful looking. :)

  6. Wow you have a beautiful really does look peaceful and relaxing.

  7. Too right! I got the sense that perhaps, some days more horse than wine, and then, some day more wine than horse!

I do remember that, last summer, my OH and I sat one evening just casually by the field gate. It was open, and the horses were some way off. We were enjoying the scene, and for no other reason than they were nosey all 7 horses came to see! They never moved for ages, stood around and grazed. A truly memorable hour!

  8. I second that! Such a beautiful place...

  9. How lucky you are to live in such a wonderful spot and I would be relaxed sitting there too!

  10. sounds very relaxing
