Beauty and the Beast

This morning we woke to fog blowing across the pasture and wrapping around the house.  I rode Jackson for 15 minutes, just at a walk, in light rain.  He was happy, walking with purpose, and stretching nicely.  Afterwards, I woke up Camille and we headed down the mountain to find shoes to go with her prom dress.  We were back home in the early afternoon.  She put on the dress and we fussed about jewelery and then headed outside for a photo shoot.  The sun was playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds which made for interesting light.  I felt like I was doing a wedding shoot - she looked so beautiful.  My favorite beast, Jackson, wiggled into the pictures as well.

I turned Jackson out in the arena while I was mucking.  The wind had picked up and it was blustery.  All the equines were running around in a frisky way.  Jackson did his share of bucking and running as well.  He didn't look sore or lame at all.  Silly, happy, frisky boy.  Hopefully, he will look the same in the morning.  It's been almost a week since he's been off at all so it feels like we are making progress.

My parents are visiting for a few days.  Tonight we are going to one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate Mothers Day.  Its been a good Mothers Day for me - time with my mother and my daughter.  Parfait!

  8. Your daughter's beautiful! I was doing the same thing--taking prom pics--about two weeks ago. I felt like the Paparazzi.

  9. Wow those are all great pictures. I love the one of your daughter holding the flower. She's so pretty and the dress is great! The shoes go great with it too. :)

I really like the picture of your daughter with Jackson where their faces are touching and it looks like he's playing with her dress. It so reminds me of Chrome. :)
