Jackson Leaves Me a Message

This morning Brett got up early and went down to the barn before leaving for a doctor's appointment.  I slept a bit longer and got up when the sun came over the mountain.  Then I grabbed the camera and headed down to the barn to check on Jackson and do my chores.  The weatherman said we would have drizzle last night and today.  Does this look like rain to you?

First stop: the chicken run.  We had salad for dinner last night.  Guess what the chickens had for breakfast?

Next stop: Rabbits

When I got to the barn, Jackson immediately pointed out the note he had left me.

How can you resist a note like that?  I picked his feet and turned him out.  After mucking, the dogs were waiting to go up to the house and get their breakfast.  Sedona looked like she had been digging in squirrel holes again.

And Kersey must have been helping...

As we were walking back to the house, the fog started blowing in.  By the time I was dressed for work, we were socked in.  Maybe we'll get that drizzle afterall.

  3. Loved this post Annette! Your photos are beautiful (as usual). Kersey's look is priceless. I had no idea that chickens ate salad...I would have thought the rabbits would get that treat :) Keep up the wonderful posts!

I love your rabbits too. They are absolutely adorable. I always wanted some of the floppy eared ones. :) You're making me wants rabbits and goats again but that will be down the road when we have a nicer place and more time.

  10. Oh that note is so cute! Wish I could find cute notes for me in the morning, but then sometimes I'm glad my critters can't write. I think they'd be cussing me out most the time LOL!!
