Brett and I started out with coffee and a pastry at the coffee hut next to our inn. The morning was cold, but clear - and beautiful.
There were people out on the bay paddling around... with their dogs.
Two adorable, friendly labs greeted us from the back of their pickup truck. Their owner was no doubt in line for coffee.
Brett and I had an appointment at one of our favorite wineries, L'Aventure, in Paso Robles. We aren't going to make it up for the party showcasing the new releases so we wanted to taste and place an order today. It was very cold, 34F, and foggy at the winery.
We got back to our inn before noon and got ready to party. My sister-in-law and I brought over cheese and crackers. We had an obscene amount of appetizers. Being a cheese loving family, we made a good dent.
My dad brought out some of his best bottles of wine.
My mom was feeling spunky and looking good.
Camille enjoyed trying the different wines.
We got to meet my nephew's girlfriend, Kelsy.
My sister-in-law, Sue, and Taylor - the youngest grandchild.
Dinner was tasty: duck, roasted veggies, fruit, and a green salad. The best part was that it was catered so we didn't have to cook or clean up.

TOOOO fun! Everyone looks happy and like they are having a blast!
ReplyDeleteAll that talk of wine and cheese is really interfering with my sandwich. Love the shots and the proof that the weather there is quite tolerable. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
