Things have been quietly buzzing with anticipation here at Aspen Meadows. Big changes are on the horizon. For those of you in the know, ssshhhhh, no spilling the beans yet. I promise to share with all of you the second I am able. Promise.
In the meantime, we have a sunny warm day today.
Brett has been busy wrestling with sprinkler valves all day. The sprinkler in my vegetable garden stopped working. With the warm, dry weather we are having, I need water on my rhubarb, strawberries, herbs and artichokes. If the artichoke plant dies, Camille will kill me. If the strawberries die, Brett will kill me. If the rhubarb dies... well, I'd pretty much kill myself. Or run screaming in circles at the very least.
Tomorrow morning at the ridiculous hour of 4am, Brett and I will head down the mountain and drive to Monterey. We need to get through LA before rush hour starts at 6am. We have a fun long weekend ahead of us with a Wine & Food Festival I will attend as my Dad's guest Thursday night, followed by a wine pick-up party in Paso Robles Saturday afternoon. No, no, sillies. Pick up wine, not pick up cute wine drinkers. Sheesh!
Have a good weekend! I'll try to post over the weekend if I have Wi-Fi in our hotel room. Otherwise, see y'all next week.
