April Garden

The garden was beautiful for Easter, with lilacs and poppies in bloom.  The perennials are starting to wake up.  Spring, my favorite season, is here.  Here are some pictures I took of the garden last month.

  1. Beautiful! Usually autumn is my favorite season, but this winter was so hard, I've never been as happy to see signs of spring. You could say, I have a new appreciation!

  2. Look at that rhubarb! I've made one pie so far and we have started selling it. We have over 20 huge plants.

  3. Everything's looking good. Autumn is my favorite season but I'm happy Spring has sprung. It's good to see some color other than white or gray! Love lilacs, they're one of my favorites and they smell wonderful.

    1. I love the scent of lilacs as well. They didn't grow well at Aspen Meadows; it wasn't cold enough in the winter for them to blossom in the spring. When I planted my garden here, I put in three lilacs. I love walking into the garden and having that wonderful scent wash over me.
